If you’ve found your way to this site, you’re probably a little curious about the woman behind the cartoon. Well, my name is Suzy, and this is my place.
What is this site about? It’s about the insanity that takes place in my daily life. You can’t have “normal” when you have a full house. And when I say full… I mean full! With 4 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and my husband, there isn’t a dull moment in our household.
But when it comes right down to it, I love my life. It’s really that simple. I work at home, which means I not only get to work in my pajamas if I want to, but it also means I’m home with my kids when they need me, and I don’t have to drive in the snow…
I live in the peaceful country side of southwest Michigan, where I can sit at my desk and watch the deer play in my backyard, the squirrels dancing in the trees, or watch my kids learn to appreciate nature in all its glory.
I have the opportunity to share more with my kids than I could when we lived in San Diego, and they have more opportunities to participate in the more fun side of school.
It’s not always easy though. Band rehearsals, choir practice, football games, basketball games… mixed in with conference calls, team meetings, projects with deadlines, emails to answer… then add in personality clashes, attitudes that need adjusting, sibling rivalry and monumental stress levels… What could be more insane?
But you know what? It sure is a lot of fun! I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.
